What to do if father is harassing my mother and my family

My father is harassing our family for the last many years. My mother is a psychiatric patient for the past many years. He has been beating her mercilessly and has many wounds on her body . My father is also having an extramarital affair. Now he plans to leave his wife and family forever. Just because he is having an affair. He also behaves very rudely towards his brother and his sister in law. Also his elder sister who comes sometimes to home has also been harassing us and threatening us for the past many years. Please suggest me a legal recourse urgently.
Your mother may file the complaint case U/s 12 PWDV Act before the concerned Court regarding domestic violence and may also file the complaint before Crime Against Women Cell for such harassment being caused to your mother by your father. Since you told that your father is having extramarital affair, then it depends that the affair with whom your father have, is married or unmarried. Different remedies are available with your mother. As I advised you, your mother may adopt the criminal proceedings against your father.

Please get an FIR lodged against your father for treating your mother with cruelty under Section 498 A of the IPC. And take legal help and file a maintenance claim in a Family Court against your father as he has to maintain his wife and children till he is not divorced from his wife. As a minor child you can also file a case under the guardianship of your mother to claim maintenance from your father.
