What to do for toxic relatives

My question is about relatives of my husband. Me and my husband are working at a remote place, my mom in law lives alone with 24 hour maid ( we have hired ). My mom in law brother constantly comes with his family and says bd things about us that we left our mother alone. The fact is that we visit her frequently. I have asked them to visit when me and my husband are at home but they come in absence and enquire about us from maid, guard. Legally what can be done ? It's harassment.
