Wedding invitation card format query
26-Feb-2025 (In Family Law)
Hello,
I am Hindu and getting married to a Hindu in the next few months. My parents are legally divorced and I am staying with my mother and no contact with father.
My question: Is there any specific format that I have to use while printing the invitation card ? so that there will be no legal problem in future with respect to marriage certificate or any kind or legal document. Is it fine to have my mother’s name and father’s name on the invitation?
Dear Sir,
It is not mandatory to disclose the names of both the parents or the name of either parent in the wedding card. Further, it is not mandatory to disclose the status of marriage of your parents. It is optional for you to disclose the names of your parents without disclosing anything about status of your parents as they are already divorced but your birth took place when they were married couple.
