want to understand my legal options

We were happily married till the date of my wife's delivery (30th June n '22). During the delivery, there were complications and she had to be admitted to PGI Chandigarh. It took almost 1 month for her discharge. Her condition was not good and we all were worried about her. I was there with her all the time but her family started defaming our family with false accusations like no one came from our family to see her. My family used to visit daily along with food so that her parents dont stay hungry. Kid was in Ambala hospital till then being underweight and later jaundice.At the time of discharge, her family played a lot of drama saying she will not go to that place again and get the baby here.Now it has been almost 5 months, she has gone to her place and are defaming us with false accusations (ghar ka kaam karwaya, maid bana k rakh dia and all same things which girls say)nWe are scared now and they are putting pressure on us indirectly but not ready to come on table.
