The family court in shimoga has decided alimony in favour of my wife and children. I want to take a stay order in bangalore high court . What wil be the total charges including lawyer fees.

How long is a stay order valid?
According to the order of the supreme court, all stays will be valid for six months if no other order is given such as until further order or until next hearing. 1.
What is the court fee for 1 crore?
Within 30 days after the district forum has passed an order, cases where the goods or services are valued at more than Rs 20 lakh rupees can be filed. The court fee is Rs. 2,000 for cases exceeding Rs. 20 lakh up to and including Rs. 50 lakh, while it is Rs. 4,000 for cases between Rs. 1 crore and Rs.

It has to be challenged before High Court and the High Court may increase or decrease the alimony if your wife files cross appeal saying that the alimony granted by Shivmogga Court is too low. Anyhow you can challenge orders by passed by Family Court and get a stay order depending upon the merits of your case. The fee of advocate depends upon the profile of advocate you choose and normally ranges between Rs. 50,000/- to 2,00,000/-.
