To marry my Gf who is married but not registered marriage

Sir I want to ask you that my gf got married to another guy before 2 yrs she left him after 6 months and living at her father's home since 1.5 yrs. The marriage she had is not registered legally means they don't have marriage certificate for their marriage now I want to marry her she also but the question is that is it mandatory to divorce her husband to marry me or not

Marriage has legal consequences. It cannot be dissolved merely by someone's wish. You wish to get married to a person without being aware of the legal position. It's better to meet us in person and clear your doubts. Brij Mohan (Adv.)

hello client as you said you gf left her husband but they are not divorced so the things get puzzeled here itself. the second marriage becomes crime if it is done without divorce. so for second marriage divorce is must.

Yes, it is mandatory for her to get decree of divorce in order to get remarried. Without seeking divorce, your marriage could not be within the preview of legal marriage. Moreover, getting married without taking divorce could also amount to offence of bigamy.
