spelling difference in surname of my father

Dear sir my father is a govt employee died now there is a problem with spelling difference in surname of my father(father = maltumkar ,mine = malthumkar) is there any problem while getting compassionate appointments

hi you could make an application to the authorities to rectify the mistake to the competent authorities to change iand if they are not doing it then you could file writ petition in high court questioning their inaction
