Son abandoned the parents Need monthly financial assistance

We have only one son. We spent lakhs of rupees for his foreign education.
Now he is IAS officer. I'm retired manager from Nationalised bank.
Son abandoned. Can we get some monthly financial assistance from him
under Hindu family law.
Yes you can very well get financial assistance from your son through criminal law as well as other provisions related to maintenance of elderly parents. Irrespective of being an IAS officer your son is bound to take care of his parents. Being the only son and you having spent lakhs for his education, he is legally bound.

sure you can proceed for the suit against him , as per the maintenance and the welfare of the parents and senior citizens act 2007, you can file him. Moreover you can approach District Magistrate or Sub Divisional Magistrate for redress of grievances against him.
