Share of daughters in father self acquired and ancestral property

11-Dec-2023 (In Family Law)
We are 2 sisters and 3 younger brothers to our parents. My father is a big business man and has made huge properties(both ancestral and self acquired) He has expired in the year 2012. And has not made any will. What will be the share of we sisters. Brothers are not ready to give anything to us. How can we claim the property rights? To file a case, how to get all the details of the properties(survey num, address etc) please guide in this regard

Dear Madam,

As a daughter you have the equal share in the ancestral property. You can send a lawyer notice to your brothers asking them to give the share in the property. If they do not comply with the notice, then you can file the partition suit claiming your share in the property.
