In the State of Kerala and some other States registration of marriages with the designated public authority is mandatory and statutory requirement. From the facts stated, it appears that the registration of the marriage in the local panchayath has been in conformity with this requirement. As such, such registration does not prevent a Muslim man from another marriage without dissolving the first marriage. However, if the person is a public servant he need to obtain from the competent authority.

The above opinion is only as to the legal aspect based on the information posted; it does not endorse the second marriage as a matter of prudent opinion.

No problem, Muslim personal law permits a muslim man to marry 4 times. You can legally marry another girl also.. registering the earlier marriage with the local self institution is no connection with your personal law
