My grandfather was in indian forestry service retired in 1972. My question is how can i get his service record means a certification that he was a civil servant for a period of so and so?

simply file a RTI for that. if they don't reply to your letters and RTI you can go for writ of mandamus in High Court directing them to provide you with the required documents. kindly contact us for further details
