Reply Filing Time Limitation, If Any ?

31-Jan-2023 (In Family Law)
I had filed a amendment application under order 6 rule 17 to amend my main Petition under hma 13, upto date. However, for over year respondent has not filed reply for over year now (some break by Covid) , despite 2 directions by family judge. Is there time limitation for such reply filing or not , in CPC or anywhere ??? Like one for WS exist, but anything for replying against such amendment application is there ???

there is no time limit as prescribed by cpc. but you may file an application under section 148 CPC which provides that if any period is fixed or granted by the court, the court may in its discretion from time to time enlarge such period not exceeding 30 days in total. it may be submitted that the court has no authority to extend time period beyond 30 days in total.
