Remove mother in law name from legal heir

16-Jun-2023 (In Family Law)
My husband was no more now since 2015. We had gotten legal heir including the name of myself, children and mother in law. Now i want legal heir without my mother in law name as she had enough wealth supporting with her elder son. Still she alive. She don't likes me as the result she will not ready to give no objection or approval for making changes in legal heir. So what is the right procedure to get the certificate asap.

There's no procedure for removal of your mil from legal heirs certificate as she is a rightful heir. Only legal way is that your mil relinquish her right and share in your husband's properties. Better to solve it amicably. If there's any harassment or torture you can file police complaint.

you cannot remove the mother of your husband from the legal heir certificate provided by the authorities according to the Hindu Succession act 1978 provides Madurai chaligala so if you delete that is a crime who are the legal Heirs of residing after the demise of the deceased person or law entitled to be named in the legal heir certificate
