In one way, your father is right. However, regarding property, you have not mentioned whether it's an ancestor property or self acquired by your father. If ancestral, then you being a coparcener have equal rights.

What is the proof you have that you spent money for the house? To whom does the property sold by your father belong? Why is your Father not giving anything to you? We will have to meet and discuss in person. If you are in Chennai and need any further assistance then you can contact me.

Please give the details of the source of the house, i.e. his self- earned or inherited from his parents. If it is inherited there is a chance to get share on the property otherwise the chance is remote.
