Regarding the validity of adaption.

15-Dec-2023 (In Family Law)
Sir, unregistered adaption is valid ? Because when my doughter was 13 year old my brother and sister-in-law both adapted my doughter with the consent of me and my wifeby performing the rituals of lingayat. My brother died during march 2018 and my sister-in-law registered the adaption deed on july 2018 when my doughter age of 17 year. Is it a valid adaption or not sir ?

Dear Sir it is perfectly valid as the conduct of function and rituals is more important You may get a notice and proceed to file a suit for declaration. Thus your biological daughter get all benefits and status in that family.
