Regarding issue of birth certificate

One Muslim married person has extra marital relation with a girl (unmarried) since 19 / 20 years back.both blessed with a girl child. Whereas the man has a son from his ligal married wife. But the girl ( live in partner) put a false name as father of her child. Now the person wants to divorce to his wife and ligalise the matter with the said live in girl. Can he take divorce from his wife, Can he mention the truth and put his name as father of girl child?
