Regarding Atheist marriage but born in different religions
24-Dec-2023 (In Family Law)
I am atheist and my partner is also, but we born and brought Hindu and muslim family. We want to marry, so our marriage registration will be normal or will fall under any special marriage act. Article 25 give freedom to choose atheism.
Dear Sir,
You have to marry under the provisions of Special Marriage Act. Whether you are atheist or not will not be considered at the time of registration of your marriage. However, you have to disclose your respective religious in the application for marriage irrespective of your belief as atheist.
