Reg. Live in relationship is valid in. India or not

Sir, I am a govt servant, I am divorcee, can I live in live relationship. If yes how can I protact under the shadow of law. Being a govt servant any agreement could be done in court in this regard.

what agreement regarding what you wants. you are a govt servant and that too a divorcee so you are now free to marry or be in a relationship. but if you are looking for something to preserve your relationship on some agreement that you can do

The live-in relationship between consenting adults is not considered illegal under the Indian law. But to be on the safer side the parties usually opt for the Live in Relationship Agreement that contains the terms and conditions that are decided mutually by both parties and are also binding upon them. You can go for live in relationship without any agreement also and if the opposite party is female she can ask maintenance as wife in future which is valid in the eyes of law and u r are government u cannot escape from this .

Yes you can be in a live-in relationship. No agreement is required. However, if at all you are in a problem, say, your relationship falls apart, then the Court sometimes considers such relationships as marriages, other times it doesn't. Courts sometimes grant maintenance other times it doesn't.
