Receiving threatening texts over family owned property

Brother in law is sending threatening texts messages. We have lived on the family property for over 12 years. We are getting messages saying we have to leave cause he feels we shouldnt be here and how he is going to start all kinds of legal problems for me and my family. What can i do?

You are male or female.? 1. If you are female, your brother in law can not pressurize you to leave the sharehousehold. You have right under DV act. 2. In any case if its family property, you have equal rights, you can send him legal notice stating your rights and your decission of not leaving this property.

Hi, Going by the limited information provided by you, it is essential to send them a legal notice asking him to stop threatening you and that you legal action will be initiated against them.
