Process of obtaining a Legal Heir Certificate

29-Aug-2024 (In Family Law)
I'm the only child of my parents and both of them passed away. We have a property with joint ownership - my father is the first owner and myself is the second owner. Now I would like to sell the property. Do I need Legal Heir Certificate for the same ? If yes, then what is the process to get the same ? will I get it from local municipality or from the Court ?

dear client as per your query since you and your father were the joint owner of the property but as he is no more so you are the only owner of the property and you can make a legal heirship certificate from the court...
