Procedure to adopt my brothers child,

My brother has a 3rd child and we have ageed for adoption with in the family. Child is 2 years old, Could you tell us the procedure, cost and some reference who can help us with the process.

You have to get registered adoption deed in the office of Sub-Registrar and accordingly it can be legalised. You can avail the services of Advocate or directly approach the office of Sub-Registrar to get proforma adoption deed. You have to pay the prescribed stamp duty and thus adoption deed can be executed.

firstly there are certain ceremonies as per your religion you should perform and there should be actual delivery of child from your brother and his wife and you and your wife should take the actual delivery, further a adoption deed is to be made and it can be registered in registration office in presence of two witnesses.
