Procedure in case Father complaint against son on Elders Helpline

My father has complained at ELDERS HELPLINE 1090 ELDER ABUSE:. I received a notice today. He is a shizophrenic from past 40 years on irregular medications. I am 40 yrs emproyed and maining the family. He keeps torturing us by repeated complaints to police station s inspire of we taking care of him really well. He has complained regarding elderly abuse. But none of our family members are in his favor. My father is aged 68 years with good health. The legal notice has asked me to be present at the commissioners office , infantry road on 13 th. What should I do

Nothing to be worried till the time you are ready to take care of your father. if you have some prescription documents against your father's ailment, you may show that as a proof. Being an elder, the law will take his side unless you have some serious documentation to prove otherwise. My best advice will be to convey your issues in writing to Commissioner on this issue giving an assurance of taking care in future. then admit him for counselling session in NIMHANS or similar institute so that he can get over the psychological issues while you correct your approach towards him. NIMHANS can provide you a good support in understanding how to deal with such people
