Sir, the RCR petition can be filed by the spouse who is deprived of the conjugal society of the other spouse. However, the prior to filing RCR petition in Court, one should serve a legal notice, on the other spouse. The pre-requisite to send RCR legal notice, is that the other spouse should have been residing separately under one roof, without reasonable cause or excuse, for one year.

Hi
In general, a Restitution of conjugal rights petition will result in reconciliation if both parties agree that they will NOT repeat the mistakes in future.
So go ahead, and file a Restitution of conjugal rights petition and also be ready
a) to apologize for past mistakes and
b) to forget and forgive mistakes if any from other side.
Hope this information is useful.
