Physical abuse and Torture by elder brother and his wife

Sir After the sudden demise of my father in 2013 my elder brother and his wife started torturing me and beating me.they say that they just want me dead so that they can enjoy out parental property. Kindly help me soon .what should I do.the police is also not helping me.my brother best me almost everyday.

You must file an FIR against your brother and sister in law for threatening to murder you to take away the joint property and then immediately file a domestic violence case for right to residence as well as protection order from court as well asapply for an injunction so that they cannot sell the property as well as partition suit.

Take the help of court by appointing some good legal practitioner of your area and immediately act as per the advise of the advocate to whom you trust otherwise it would be difficult as the police will act only after having direction on them from the act.

You may contact with the Protection Officer of your District with a complaint under Domestic Violence Act. and simultaneously, file a partition suit before the civil court for claiming partition of your paternal properties. You may seek help of the Legal Aid Services Authority for free of cost suits.
