Nri Husband FIR police delaying work

I have filed an FIR against NRI husband who has done fraud and abandoned me with mental harassment, it’s been 5 days and police haven’t done anything yet, what should I do? How to communicate this to Indian embassy and where else do I need to report this?
In case the local PS fails or refuses to act on your Complaint you can make a Written Complaint directly to the Police Commissioner. Please carry 2 Copies of the same, one to be given in their Despatch Section and the other for your record after their endorsement. The PC office will refer the said Complaint to the local PS and they will have to act on it. If in case you're not satisfied after this also a Complaint can directly be made to the Metropolitan Magistrate also.
