Need some legal advice before getting married

The girl I want to marry is suffering from sever depression. Her father and brother are fraudsters, they have borrowed money from a lot of people and have cheated them. Her father was even using her name, photos and aadhar card to chat will other people on social media and have borrowed money from them too in her name. I want to know are there any legal precautions that can be taken to avoid any harm they can cause us in future. Or can they sue us for money on grounds of the girls mental health?

Yes sir you can take a strict legal against them. You can contact the local area police station otherwise hire an advocate he will help you to do the same. Its crime to use anyone photo or adhar card to chat with other people.
