Need info on legal heir certificate

25-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)
My father expired last year with no nomination in bank account. We are 2 sisters and one brother where brother is not in contact with any of us from past 7yrs. We need to get our legal heir certificate so that we can get our share of the bank account bit he is not willing to share his documents for getting the certificate. How do we proceed?

You can apply for the legal heir certificate which is issued by the SDM of your area. Documents required will be the death certificate of your father and your ID cards like Aadhaar Card & Pan Card. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

It can be done. Legal heir certificate is a difficult task as for that you have to approach courts. However, for bank you will require succession heir certificate which is obtained from revenue department from SDM. You can get the Succession Heir Certificate from SDM withing 14 days of applying.

Hi, going by the limited information shared by you. We can send a legal notice asking him to share the details with us otherwise Court case can be filed. Secondly we can file for succession certificates also. It is better to schedule a meeting and take it further.
