My uncle who worked in Police Department has died 6 months ago. He has a wife and 3 children. He also had 2 children with 2 other women each. His wife applied for family member certificate and local vro denied taking the application based on illegal wife and children. My uncle's family is about to lose the benefits as they do not get family member certificate. Please guide.

hi first need to see the reasons for rejecting of family member certificate by VRO and is she the 1st wife and whethet she had been divorced and based on that you could approach high court for issue of family member certificate

we can simply apply for legal heirs in court and after getting it your aunt can claim all the benefits we may be stuck with this for ever if we wait for family member certificate add to that if any other women apply for benefits it will be pending unless every one comes to an understanding
