My uncle not taking care of his father

HI,
My grand father has two childern and one is my mom and another man. He forsaken his father and since last 15 years my mother only taking care of him and he didn't even pat not even a single rupee for his monthly expenses. Now he is saying that we only have to take care of my grandfather when we ask him to take of my grandfather for a month . COuld you please advise us how we can proceed on him. even he tried to sell my grandfather house recently but it didn't happen as he expected. here is one note that he saying that " my grandfather came to us with an amount of 1 lac and now that amount is 9 lac" Please advise us.
According to Section 20 of Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956 it is the obligation of children to maintain there aged infirm parents (children here includes legitimate as well as illegitimate). The term ‘children’ under Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956 does not include grandson and granddaughter. The liability to maintain parents is personal and is not dependent on the possession of property (as is the case of proceedings under Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act) and this obligation ceases with the death of the person liable to maintain.

please file a maintenance case on your grandfather's name against your uncle. as far as the house is concerned please ask your grandfather to write a will in favor of your mother as well as your uncle.
