My parents want to give me Mental treatment in a mental hospital without my consent. What are legal actions I can take against them and the doctor to prevent this and what are the other punishments under Mental Healthcare Act, 2017. nnAs under Section 83 of the Mental Healthcare Act, any person who provides mental healthcare in contravention of the Act may be punished with imprisonment for a term of up to 6 months, or a fine of up to Rs. 10,000, or both. I have earning sources to support my self financially. I would not like to live with them. Please tell me how can I live in any other place being under 18 but not with them or atleast safeguard myself from future situations that they put me into?
