My mausi has been living with us for 23 years but we don't want to keep her anymore. She has arthritis and she is an steroid addict. She fights almost daily and it is affecting our mental health. I am a student and I can't study. My mom has started to faint while fighting because of her words. She doesn't listen to doctors nor agrees for therapy and blames us for everything. She always fights with my mom saying you sleep comfortably at night. We can't stay awake with her every night.

It's not at all mandatory for all of you to feed her. You can always serve her a legal notice regarding your grievances. And if then also there is no improvement in her behaviour and the situation is intolerable then you should file a complaint with the police station according to your jurisdiction and transfer her to any hospital or rehabilitation centre. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Well, obviously your mausi is not your liability to care of. You should take restraining orders against her but before that you should lodge a police complaint against her to vacate your premises as she doesn't have any right staring there. For further assistance you may consult me.

I can understand your level of anger and frustration but legally speaking it takes a lot to determine how she is staying with you and if it is her ancestral property which she has inherited then no one can displace her. but if it is not inherited property then a police case can be filed against her behaviour and let the police initialise a proper action.
