My husband has taken marriage with another girl where I am alive, What

please suggest about the proceeding in the court ,also suggest the laws and sections for my further action. If a case already registered in the name of applicant against the defendant, what will be the time limit for filing of case as I am living in a rented house and the husband willfully neglect me , i think there is no alternative to file a case.

There is no time limitation for you to file a domestic violence case against your husband, wherein you may seek monthly maintenance from your husband, compensation, residence orders in your matrimonial home, protection orders from the court and monetary reliefs as well. You may also get an FIR lodged against him for there is no time limitation for the same. you may consult me in that regard

If the behaviour of your husband is intolerable towards you can anytime send a complaint regarding your grievances in writing to the police station according to your jurisdiction. And if you wish to go legal then you can also file a petition under section 12 DV or section 125 CrPC and claim maintenance for yourself. And if there's no scope of living together then rather stretching the relationship you should file for contested divorce under the ground of cruelty. I would suggest you to go with mutual divorce because it's cost effective and ends up in a maximum of six months. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

You should immediately file a complaint with CAW cell under section 494 for bigamy and press for FIR. Apart for this you are entitled to file a maintenance petition under section 125 CrPc for seeking monthly maintenance for your subsistence. For further advise you may connect
