I am sure that there will be a lot of happiness in your life in future, be patient. Time changes. For now, try to gain faith of your family members. Convince them that you feel sorry for what you did and will never do that again. If the condition is beyond the tolerance then you can go to police station. Find some local shelter home of good reputation for women. Keep in touch with police. File a complaint under protection of women from domestic violence act, 2005 if needed. But remember that you should be alert from the persons outside who may take advantage of your condition. You can also go to some religious institution which help the needy people. And be strong.

Dear Mam, I believe that there are two aspects of your query and hence I am answering it in two separate parts. Relationship Aspect: Failed relationships do not give a cause of action for legal proceedings against your counterpart. However you can go for legal proceedings if your matter comes within following domain: If the person with whom you had intimate relationship had intercourse with you under false pretext of marriage, then you can proceed against him for committing rape under S.376 of Indian Penal Code. For this you have to lodge an FIR in the nearest police station. However please understand that there is a clear distinction between rape and consensual sex and in a cases like this, the court will very carefully examine whether the accused had actually wanted to marry the victim (you), or had mala fide motives, and had made a false promise to this effect only to satisfy his lust, as the latter falls within the ambit of cheating or deception. There is a distinction between the mere breach of a promise, and not fulfilling a false promise. Thus, the court will examine whether promise was made, at an early stage and whether the consent involved was given after wholly, understanding the nature and consequences of sexual indulgence. Note: If you had intercourse with the man out of your own free consent, I advise you not to lodge false FIR as this amounts to abuse of process of law. And malicious prosecution of a person itself amounts to punishable offence under S.211 of Indian Penal Code. Confinement in house aspect: Coming to the issue of your parents and relatives withholding you against your consent. Neither your family nor the family of the boy can wrongfully confine or restrain you inside the house legally. You can proceed against any such person in the court of law. If you are being withheld against your consent inside your house, it would be advisable to contact a local lawyer immediately who in turn will initiate S.97 Cr.P.C (Search for person wrongfully confined) Proceedings in the relevant Sub Divisional Magistrate Court. Note: I would recommend you to understand the nature of the situation first. It is possible that your parents/family are protective of you and you are simply over reacting to the situation. Under such circumstances please talk this issue out with your family rather than going for unnecessary legal proceedings.
