I got engaged a month back. Now I don't want to marry, want to live as a single. Please tell me the procedure how to proceed.
Hello, As you mentioned that your marriage arranged and engagement for marriage already completed. Now you realised that you don’t want to go for this marriage and want to remain single. This is social marriage agreement and till the date you enter into formal marriage you can any time say to No for that there is no legality in that but only that if they feel so they can file defamation case .

Dear Sir,
You can cancel your engagement by issuing a Legal Notice saying that you are not going to marry in your lifetime and remain as single person. You have to give some reasons and cancel the said engagement. If they claim any compensation then protest the same and accordingly cancel the forthcoming marriage.
