Marriage between Hindu Indian boy and Nepali girl

17-Jan-2023 (In Family Law)
I am an Indian citizen and my girlfriend is a Nepali citizen. Both of us are living in India. We both are adults and Hindu by religion. While exploring marriage options, I came to realize that as she is foreigner, we have to go as per Special Marriage Act and decided to go for registration of intended marriage with Department of Registration and Stamps. However, while filling up the form, it asked for her visa and single status certificate too. As we all know, Nepali citizen does not require visa to reside in India, so it is not possible to produce the document. Also, about single status certificate, is it self declaration affidavit or does any office provide such certificate. As she reside in India, getting such certificate from Nepal is not a viable option. nnIn this case, how can we go ahead with it?

You should marry as per Hindu rites and ritual of saptpadi which is valid marriage and then you can register this marriage in nearest municipal corporation office which is more valid option and becomes your marriage legal and binding on both
