Maintenance case field on Senior Citizen by the wife.

Our case is going on since July 2019. My father (84) who is a Hindu and residing in Mumbai has been sent a legal notice by his wife (Hindu) staying at Palakkad Kerala. They are not living with each other since 46 years. They are not divorced. She has asked him for maintenance with arrears amounting to several lakhs of rupees. She lives in a bungalow made by my father since may years and the case has been filed by her children to extract money from my father. Now the case date is posted to April 2023 with the purpose of hearing stated as "For Steps". What is the meaning of that ?

Steps in kerala means procedures to be done by the petitioner.. It starts right from producing cover for sending summons to respondent to execution procedures.. This case can be easily won by ur father...Need more details for giving proper advice. You may contact me for more details
