Legal remedies if parents house arrest an adult daughter

Sir, iam 21 year old completed my btech. Iam in love with my moms brother who is 26 year old.we both love each other.we belong to same cast. But my parents are not accepting for our marriage due to some family problems. Iam house arrested. My grandparents and parents are blackmailing them and warning them. how can this problem is solved through legally.
Hi according to your query you can give police complaint to your local jurisdiction or you can call the police number that where you have been arrested then that local police will come and rescue so do not worry to call police, take the help of the police immedietly.

You cannot be housearrested like this by your parents since you are a major and you can marry any person of your choice. If marrying your mother's brother is permissible in your caste/ community you can marry him. In order to be freed from forceful house arrest, you can ask your uncle (mothers brother) to file a writ of habeas corpus in high court. The high court will then direct the jurisdictional police and your parents to produce you before the court.Thereafter, after inquiry, you will be set free and then you can marry as per your choice.

As you both are majors it is not a problem to take permission from your parents or grand parents. It is not understand that why your grand parents or parents black mailing and warning. You can approach your concerned Police station and lodge a complaint against them and you can marry after applying an application before the concerned Registrar Office.
