Is lawyer needed to attend hearing before family welfare committee?

can we take lawyer with us while going for hearing before family welfare committee? Thanks for your time.

Family welfare committes were recently formed. It is not necessary to take a lawyer with you but you can always consult a lawyer so that you can effectively understand all legal procedures and further proceedings.

It's totally your discretion whether you want to take a lawyer with you or not. This welfare committee has been formed on the direction of Hon'ble Supreme Court with regard to dowry case registered under section 498-A. There is no bar in taking lawyer with you in welfare committee.
