Is it possible to send legal notice for maintenance to avoid court?

20-Dec-2023 (In Family Law)
Can I send a legal notice to ask for maintainance? I don't want to drag the process out in court and would prefer to reach an out of court agreement. But neither he nor the family will talk to me so is there a way to send a lawyer's notice in such a situation to meet with him and his family to talk this through?

Impossible. You have to approach the court of law to claim your legal rights. When your husband doesn't care about your calls, legal notice Will be of no use. Therefore file a petition.

Preferring lawyer's notice for getting maintanance by wife against the husband is not a wrong, you can do this.but what will be the impact.it may settle in single notice or may not, If you prefer a police complaint in all women police station they are having power to enquire and there are more chances for settlement.

You need not even a legal notice for maintenance. You better apply before the family court and take the assistance of lawyer to prepare the same. If you know the income of your spouse, you need the mention the same in the petition so that the court can take into account to decide the quantum.
