Is it legal to change caste. If yes, what is the procedure for it

I want to change my caste from tamil hindu to telugu reddy. Is this allowed? if yes, what is the procedure?
You cannot change your caste. But you can approach the court, incase your caste was wrongly mentioned in your community certificate or school certificate when you belong to other caste. Even for that also you have prove sufficient document before the court to prove your case.

Sir, if you are originally belonged to Telugu reddy and by mistakenly, given as Tamil hindu, you can apply for change of it to the DRO, further you may get direction from High court. In case if you are changing this for any other purposes, you can't

Not possible in the laws and also in the society. Your caste comes behind you with your birth it self. It should not be interchanged by the law. But it was allowed in religion wise. Its better you convert yourself to another religion
