IPC Section 500,section 34-defamation

My parents aged 77 and 75 have been issued summons in a defamation case filed by my ex brother in law.How can I get them the respite of not having to be present on the court physically. Myself the -son and based in UK and have been issued summons too-what legal options do I have?

hi sir/madam,

if the summons has been issued from court regarding any type of cases, I suggest you to appear and contest the case, if you are not appearing then the court will pass expartee adverse orders in your absence. for defending your case and also for any legal assistance kindly contact me. thanks

Dear Sir,
You can immediately challenge the same before High Court and get stay order on such proceedings and ultimately it may be quashed. Otherwise they may appear before the Court and get bail and file permanent exemption under Section 317 of Cr.P.C and thus they need not appear before the Court in future. Get copies of entire file and order sheet and approach me for further guidance.

in defamation cases it's not required the parties should be present and you can easily win the cases and you can take adjournment staying the age of your parents easily and close the case as soon as possible
