23-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
There's too much disturbance on daily basis in my in-laws home due to one reason or another. They have said multiple times to me and my husband to leave their house. We both now don't want to stay there as its affecting our personal life and career growth also. We want to leave the house legally. What are the steps we should do so they shouldn't interfere in our life later?

You can give an intimation or an inshallah peshbandi application to the concerned police authorities through a lawyer enunciating true factual situation and reason of leaving. In addition you may also give a notice in newspaper

The most effective way to safeguard you and your husband lies with you only as you can file a domestic violence case against your in laws for troubling you and your husband and you can ask for a restraining order against them to prevent them coming near your residence or interfering in your life. The court's will definitely restrain them from troubling you. For assistance you may consult me.

the first and foremost thing which you are required to do is to take an injunction against your in laws so that they are refrained from getting in touch with you. The next step is to settle out of the house without leaving your rights as such. in such a case if the property has been transferred to father in law through his father then your husband can claim his right. Kindly get in touch to understand the matter in detail

there is no legal format to leave the house. just take your bags and leave. what else are you seeking to do? what all papers or settlement are you seeking to do? After all its their house, you were living there now you want to go elsewhere, so nothing needed in law before you leave this present place.
