Dear Sir, The Courts are working very slowly due to COVID situation. If you wish to get your case disposed within six months time frame then approach High Court. It will direct the Family Court to dispose your case on priority basis otherwise you have to wait for another 2-3 years.

in the above case you are not mention that weather you have find your written statement before the court. anyhow trying to give answer your question that after receiving the summons from the court the respondent has to be appear before the court, effect of the appearance the court has referred the matter to the mediation, the mediation centre try to solve the issues within 90 days from the referral from the court if the matter is settled in mediation Centre the agreement will be drafted and it has to be submitted before the court. if the matter is not settled within the 90 days you have to submit your objections to the main petition before the court. after considering your objections the Court may post the matter for evidence of the petitioner. now you have to answer that whether your case is posted for the evidence. if the matter is posted for the evidence the petitioner has to present his evidence before the court and you have to cross-examine completion of the petitioner cross examination you have to lead your evidence then they having the opportunity to cross examine you after the completion of evidence the matter will posted for the arguments then the matter will be posted for judgement this all the processor has to be follow by the court with the cooperation of both parties ..
