I am 17, my dad left all my responsibilities on my mom's head n stays with my dadi where his frnds r(he loves them more than he loves my sis, mom n I). now my mom is single handedly working hard everyday. basically he's now coming n troubling me during my 12th boards n imp entrances as i have gained weight n he's forcing my sister n I to exercise with him n i find it uncomfortable. earlier in 2021, during my 10th, he had done smtg similar, n when i didn't do so, he said that he will kick my mom(his wife), my twin sis n I out of house. n then a few months l8r he also started asking rent from my mom coz she cleared the society maintenance fees. nso what all laws can i use at the ages of 17 n 18+ to keep him away from my family n to prevent him from throwing us of the house? Please reply a bit early as he is going to visit soon.

Before going legal, try and seek help of women cell of police if there is a sort of harassment. There are multiple laws. One of the most prominent laws is DV Act which primarily provides for protection orders and reliefs of various nature that should also address your situation (act covers father-daughter relationship too). Your mother and you siblings either under one petition or under separate petitions van claim suitable reliefs including restraint orders that you wish to obtain as per your query.

You can file a case matter in court asking for monthly expenses as well as residence from your father as it is his moral obligation to look after his family and kids. your mother can file for the same and you siblings can also file it toa sk for monthly amount and everything
