How to transfer land to my mother, given informal adoption?

In 1969, my mother was informally adopted by my grandmother, who recently passed away. We seek legal steps to document the adoption retroactively and transfer 3 acres of agricultural land into my mother's name. We lack a formal adoption document but have my grandmother's death certificate.

as per your mother's school records and the wedding invitation check with the relevant information. if not then you have to apply for a family member certificate. if that's not possible then go for a declaration suit to declare that your mother is the sole legal heir of the deceased garbd mother. finally I suggest you to approach an advocate of ur choice to get the things done.
