How to distribute property owned by grandfather

Hi, we are a family of 4 ,myself,my sister,my mom and dad. If any one of us wants to split the property how much would each get as a share. Note:the property was earned by my fathers grandpa.
Hello,if it is your ancestral property means you can equal share over the property and u can get one share in that whole property with equal proportions and also u can claim over the property by legally

The property will be divided equally and each will get a equal share as it is a ancestral property
U can do partition among yourself or you can approach the court for partition by filing the partition suit

In the given case you are speaking about an ancestral property. Therefore, the property will be divided in to 1/4 for each person as per the law. However, If your grandpa has any other children (excluding your father then the ration will change). For example, If your grandpa has one more child then after the death of your grandpa and grandma the property will be divided between your father and his sibling. The ratio of the property received by your father will then be divided in to 1/4 as explained above.
