Household expenses split between husband and wife

Husband and I earn equal so he keeps tracking and asking for money even for small expenses. This calculation goes to the point where it gets very stressful to live with him, even for small groceries or if I forgot card , I feel stressed out to buy something next to repay what he spent for me. If we go out to eat, he will buy his food and I will have to buy mine. I dont mind sharing expenses but this is very emotionally draining, I dont feel secure in our marriage where my husband would take care of my needs if incase something happens. It doesnt feel like family when he keeps on calculating everything and keep asking for my money for all the expenses. He spends alot of money in useless things and spends alot for his family - parents & siblings but I see different behaviour when it comes to me. He has no savings and relies on mine for the same.
