Hindu individual, register marrage, section 13 of 1954, no ceremony. 4

06-Jun-2024 (In Family Law)
Register marrage of 2 adult, hindu born male & female individuals in 2007. Signature done on forms in presence of 5 adults & registrar and issued certificate, is certificate of marrage under section 13 of act XLIII of 1954. NO ceremony performed except for putting sindoor on the women's forehead. Is this marrage a valid marrage based on Supreme Court's latest judgement that for a Hindu marrage to be valid the 7 phere around the fire is a basic requirement.

Well, a Hindu Marriage is invalid legally, if Couple does not perform the Saptapadi. This is in lines with the recent Supreme Court Judgement. A Hindu Marriage without Saptapadi can be declared as legally not valid, if either of the Spouse files an application to get such marriage declared as null and void.
