Harrassment to Senior Citizens at Home

22-Sep-2023 (In Family Law)
Background- My cousin (male, 33 years) was raised in our family since his childhood and my father had provided for his education, livelihood, marriage etc. He has been married since 2014 and is staying at an adjacent building which is on a plot in the name of my grandmother and the house has been built by my fatherAllegations: My cousin and his wife have denied entry of his mother (my aunt) to the house where they are staying and not providing food and basic needs. My aunt is a psychiatric patient and is under medication. Her medical costs are also NOT borne by her son. Since they denied her entry to the house, other members of the family including my father confronted them. Cousin misbehaved, got agitated and hurled abuses at my father and other senior citizens in the family. Cousin also beats his mother. In the past he physically abused others like aunt, grandmother, wife, his inlaws. He threatens my family repeatedly and blackmails into providing for more money and facilities.

listen in law the factum of your family providing for your cousin is not of much relevance. also the factum that the house in your grandmothers land being built by your father can be factually disputed. for a instant writ remedy if his mother approaches the writ court seeking police protection against her son it seems a good case to be dealt with. hence you are accordingly advised to consult any High court lawyer to do the needful after making the ground work which the lawyer would guide you. your aunt can take proper steps as per the law and trust me no one can take her rights to the basic things. Your cousin brother will be in trouble if your aunt takes proper steps in accordance with the laws. but before taking any step you need to do homework. detailed discussion is necessary.
