Getting calls from the police station for a false complaint against me

Hello sir, I am Nirupama from Bangalore.
One of my friend had taken amount from my cousin without my knowledge. The person was not able to return on time and he had also spoken to my cousin requesting for some time. But then my cousin started accusing and harassing me and my family on social media. Hence i filed for a criminal case against my cousin and was successful. Now i have been getting calls from the police station stating that my cousin's father has given a complaint against me and they r asking me to give a statement against it.
So my query is should i attend to the call and give a statement to the complaint?
they whould have filed non cognizable report or you can even call as petition they whould have given a petition to police for these complaints police can't file fir against you it's like an settlement between both the parties you can go and give your statement no problem
